One more victim of the explosion at a hand sanitiser storehouse in Turag of the capital succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, bringing the total to seven.

Md Shafiqul Islam, 32,breathed his last around 8:30pm while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Resident surgeon of the institute SM Aiyub Hossain confirmed the news.

The doctor said 80 percent of his body was burnt in the explosion.

The last survivor– Shaheen, 25,– was receiving treatment at the institute, hospital sources said.

Eight people suffered burn injuries in the blast occurred at about 11:45am on Saturday at the warehouse.
